Of all the alleys I've bowled in, Victory Lanes was by far the best house you could bowl in.Even though it was small in comparison to the other alleys around(10 alleys), it was huge in that like Cheers,"everybody knew you name". From Uncle Mike to Sonny To Tim, Rick & Laurie, you always felt welcomed when you came in. For me, I met some good people(including my wife), bowled my only 300 there, worked there, and considered it my second home(Mom couldn't cook burgers the way they did). Now it's just a memory as are the other alleys which no longer exist, but the memories last a life time.

I remember bowling the Monday night hdcp league there in the mid 70s. Uncle Mike would always be behind the desk, cigar in his mouth, yelling " who's up on alley 5"...some poor schlump would come running out of the bathroom, pulling up his zipper, knowing he was gonna hear it from Uncle Mike...
